Gulf Cement Company was established as public shareholding company in Ras Al Khaimah Emirate located the north of United Arab Emirates after the authorized approval under the royal decree issued by the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah no 77/24 in 31-May-1977 and licenses number 2202 issued in 7 April 1978 from the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah.The factory was officially inaugurated on 28 April 1982 after construction in record time with production capacity exceeded one million tons annually, it was the largest factory to produce clinker in United Arab Emirates . and amongst the whole gulf region at that time. In order to retain the policy of the company in leadership and development in industry and due to the increasing in cement demands, the company has established a second production line in 2006 with production capacity of 2.5 million ton annually and with that the total production capacity of the company has reached 3.8 million tons of clinker per anum .
