EHAF Consulting Engineers

EHAF Consulting Engineers began in 1972 as a partnership between two French-educated graduates. Starting with just 12 employees and offices in the UAE and Cairo, EHAF quickly secured two major contracts in its first year, one for a building project in the UAE and another for an industrial project in Alexandria. The company's strong connections with government projects started in 1974 when EHAF was chosen to oversee the construction of new schools in the UAE and ambitious telecommunications centers and Ismailia port projects for the Egyptian government. In its early years, EHAF focused on building and infrastructure projects in the Middle East. In the early 1980s, EHAF's portfolio expanded to include designing and constructing the first line of the Cairo Metro, including its advanced operation control center. Meanwhile, in the UAE, EHAF was entrusted with various government ministry building projects. During this time, EHAF built a dedicated team of 100 professionals specializing in transportation, infrastructure, industry, and government buildings. By the late 1980s, EHAF expanded its reach into African, Gulf, and French markets. The company initiated multiple projects across various African countries, mainly in infrastructure. It also opened its first branch in Paris to collaborate on Metro projects as a subconsultant to RATP in Algeria. During this period, EHAF secured contracts in the Gulf Region.
