In 1986, Marconi Metal Industries LLC began making special ceilings under the brand MATADOR™. The boss, Mr. Souheil Hatoum, came to the UAE from Lebanon in 1984 with just $200. With hard work, he and his brother, Mr. Sami Hatoum, made their company famous. They were among the first to use aluminum instead of plastic for ceilings. They started as Marconi Inter Design, offering installation and design solutions. Later, they formed Marconi Metal Industries to make aluminum ceilings. Even after 30 years, Marconi 'Metal' and 'Design' are leaders. They're the only ones in the UAE doing both making and installing metal ceilings. Marconi is proud of its great products meeting high standards. They work with designers, contractors, and architects from planning to installation. Over 30 years, Mr. Souheil Hatoum also started two other companies, United Metal Coating and United Iron and Steel. They make the coils used for metal ceilings, assuring top quality.
